The Walking with Pride Project is a collaborative artwork that unites Queer individuals and allies from around the world through the act of weaving. The project aims to create a collective tapestry with each individuals’ woven artwork, symbolizing the interconnectedness of identities, struggles, and resilience.

On the whole, we wish to use textiles as a site of storytelling with each individuals’ rug as a symbol of their stories.
The project is currently supported by institutions such as the New York Public Library, the IHLIA Archive in Amsterdam, the OBA in Amsterdam, and Sitting Bull College in North Dakota.

Join us for two upcoming workshops* where you can learn how to weave and become part of The Walking with Pride Project—a global, collaborative artwork celebrating Queer stories, resilience, and solidarity through textile art. No experience needed!
